Had William Beekman not kept such meticulous journals, we would not know as much about him or his original mercantile.  His story would have been lost even if the house he built was still standing!

Our B. 1802 cahier de papier (paper notebook) is handmade by the Anonymous Bookbinder in Sharon Springs, NY.  The wrapper is contructed form 100% cotton rag handmade paper and covered with a hand block-printed wallpaper by Adelphi Paper Hangings, also in Sharon Springs, NY.  The text paper is 50 pages (front + back) and is 70lb Mohawk Superfine, an archival paper.

Each notebook has a hand-stitched and tied binding.

Beekman 1802 issues a new style of notebook every 3 months so that you can fill a new journal each season of the year.

"Spring" is covered by a paper pattern known as "Laurel Trellis", based on a French original, circa 1800-1804.
