October means three things at The Beekman: apples, fireplaces and walks through the fields. Each year, we harvest bushels of our organic apples and cart them off to be pressed in an 18th century cider press. As we begin our season of fireside living, we use the applewood prunings from the previous year as fragrant kindling. We've found that we most enjoy sitting by the fire after a long walk through the autumn fields - where the milkweed is blossoming and the wildflowers are drying on their stems.

Our Beekman 1802 Month of October Soap tries to capture our autumn: apples, crackling kindling, and the scent of drying wildflowers. We hope you enjoy it in a long hot bath right before sitting by your own hearth.

Like all BEEKMAN 1802 soap, our Month of October Soap is handmade from the milk of the Beekman goats, who graze freely on the land and drink the waters that once made Sharon Springs one of the most famous spa destinations in the world. BEEKMAN 1802 soap uses the highest percentage of pure goat milk possible in each bar. You may notice a faint layer of ash on the bottom of the soap, which washes away with first use. This ash affirms the bar is made from pure goat milk using non-chemical methods. Because of the seasonality of our ingredients, and the different chemical-free essential oils used for fragrance, there may be slight differences in color between all soaps. Each bag of BEEKMAN 1802 Month of October Soap contains two wrapped 3.25 oz bars.
