Most people are familiar with Dulce de Leche - a caramel sauce made from cow milk. When caramel is made from goat milk, it's called Cajeta.
Most caramel sauces you'll find at your local store are primarily composed of high fructose corn syrup. But we make our cajeta the traditional Latin & Mexican way...with nothing but pure goat milk from our farm, real sugar and vanilla beans simmered for hours to develop a rich, deep, caramel flavor and color.
Excellent over cakes, ice cream, in chocolates, or cinnamon buns.
Because no preservatives or stabilizers are used in this product, some crystallization or separation may occur. To re-liquify, simply stir in a little water or milk and reheat gently.
