"O" Pattern Napkin
This product is currently sold out.
Our master weaver has researched and revived an historical pattern for use in our BEEKMAN 1802 Napkins. The design was rediscovered in an 1817 weaving book published in nearby Utica, NY - so it certainly was a pattern used in the area of The Beekman Mansion. Table napkins were just beginning to be popularly used in America at the turn of the 19th century, and it's highly likely that a prominent man like Judge William Beekman would have used them at his table. The pattern our weaver unearthed is entitled "X's & O's" (alternately found as "Rose and Compass"). Since many people prefer matching sets, we're offering these "O" napkins separate from our "X" napkins (which are also available to mix and match.) Like all of our handwoven linens, our "O" pattern napkins are heirloom quality, and may last for generations. They are 100% natural cotton and may be washed by hand or by machine on the gentlest cycle. Napkins measure 20 inches square.
