Joanna Beekman would've made sure that her husband's mercantile was stocked with yards and yards of beautiful hand-woven silk fabrics. She knew that a costume made of the best materials was ultimately the best value.
This tradition inspired our hand-made silk scarves. Each scarf features a tight weave of our signature Beekman Stripe pattern and is finished with a vintage honeycomb stitch. They were woven especially for Beekman 1802 on historic looms at Thistle Hill Weavers in neighboring Cherry Valley. Thistle Hill has won awards for their authentic fabric recreations used in period films such as "Lincoln," "John Adams," "Road to Perdition," and others
Available in 5 colors inspired by Beekman Farm and hand-dyed: Blue Stone Blue, Hayfield, Spring Grass, Kohl, and Lilac.
