In 2008, Beekman 1802 launched with nothing more than hand-made goat milk soap. Now, just six years later, we work with over 45 local and regional artisans whose hands make over 200 amazing and beautiful products for your homes, gardens & stomachs. Not only do we offer their great handmade items in our own store, we've also helped get their goods on the shelves of national retailers like Williams-Sonoma, Anthropologie, Henri Bendel, Fred Segal, Central Market and hundreds of other stores across the country.
We've done a little tallying up and realize that you (our awesome loyal customers) have made a huge impact on our local economy. And all during one of the worst recessions in America, to boot! We think this goes to prove that working hard, helping your neighbor, and never quitting are the kind of business values that still work in this world.
We thank you. And the artisans in the Beekman 1802 Rural Collective thank you. You have helped them earn a living while practicing their passions. So we thought it was probably past due time for y'all to meet face to face. (We can't believe we haven't done this sooner!) So over the course of the next several months, we'll be adding profiles of many of our artisans - the people who make the things that makes you happy. Enjoy!
